Calhoun County is rich in history, much of which has been recorded in
written form through the years. Significant parts of the County's past,
however, are known only to individuals that experienced unique events or
have had stories passed to them by friends or relatives. The Oral History
Program's purpose is to record such experiences and stories so they can
be preserved and shared with our citizens for years to come.
The Oral History Program is managed by the Calhoun County Museum. To
find out more information about the program, or to schedule a recording,
please contact the Museum at 361-553-4689 or email.
